Shakespeare is good when you read it - but when you hear Shakespeare, it's downright inspiring.

Storytelling - with all of its rich textures - is key to all of our presentations. The audio format injects added immediacy and excitement into learning. It stimulates the imagination, and establishes a one-on-one relationship with the listeners.

We are often asked why we don't have scripts children can read along with during the stories...as if listening skills were a poor cousin to reading comprehension. Reading and listening are two different - and equally important - forms of cognitive development.

According to the International Reading Association: "Good listening skills are essential for good speech, vocabulary and language development. Children will become readers only if their emotions are engaged, their imaginations stretched and stirred."

Research shows comprehension of new or unfamiliar material is enhanced when presented auditory as opposed to print. Boomerang! also gives children access to subject matter unavailable in print at their reading level.

We only develop stories that are more exciting with audio enhancement. Each piece has an audio "hook" -- either in premise or presentation. And just as very few magazines are read in one sitting, each audiomagazine issue is presented in bite sized chunks with natural breaks.
